FULL DISCLOSURE
While the life of a travel blogger might seem glamorous, with paid press trips via first class to Tahiti, lemme tell you it’s pretty much not like that. However, you can be assured that we at TheWorldIsCalling.com are ethical people striving to earn your trust, and we will make it clear if any part of our report was sponsored or subsidized. And please know that even if we score a free first class trip to Tahiti — or a free/discounted zipline tour, meal, whatever — we will still do everything in our power to produce fair and balanced reports. You should be able to spot those, because we’ll put a “FULL DISCLOSURE” line at the bottom of any post that reflects sponsored flights, stays, meals, excursions or otherwise.
But to be safe, to comply with FTC Ruling for Bloggers, you should assume:
- We’re striving to make this blog both relevant to you, our readers, and profitable. In that light, any content you find on this blog, in any format, might be used to promote products, services, affiliate businesses. This includes links within the post, copy, media, and comments by our readers.
- Any products that we review might have been given to us at no cost.
- Even though we might receive products or services at a discount or for free, we will still strive to give you a thorough and fair review, friend to friend. If we wouldn’t recommend it to our BFFs, we’re not going to recommend it to you. If we think something would only appeal to certain people, we’ll make that clear too. We want to earn and keep your trust.
- We provide select advertising opportunities for the right partners and businesses. We also promote affiliate programs that are relevant to our readers. We may not note the use of an affiliate link every time it is used.
- We do not accept sponsored links unless we have actually tried a tour/hotel/etc. If you are a tour operator or travel-oriented company, please consider placing an ad. See the Media/Ad page for more information on rates. Or if you would like to invite us to review your operation, hotel, or restaurant, please contact us at Info [at] theworldiscalling [dot] com.
