Maybe it’s because I grew up skiing in Montana at Big Mountain, back before it got its facelift and became Whitefish Mountain. In my early years, it was just a few major runs, a couple of chair lifts, a T-bar and a rope tow. After our spectacularly successful day at the Glenwood Caverns & Adventure Park, we were excited to devote the late morning and early afternoon to nothing but the pool, before hitting the road for our four hour return trip home.
